In conjunction with our phonics skill of the week, different sounds of the letters 'c' and 'g', we have been reading the poem, "Looking Through The Microscope" by Sharon Vargo. In addition to using the poem to practice phonics skills, the students have also discussed the meaning of the poem. Today, Junior High Science Teacher Mr. Kogut brought two microscopes to our class for the students to try. It was exciting to observe soil under the microscope and to reflect on this experience as we re-read Sharon Vargo's poem. Thank you Mr. Kogut for bringing this hands-on experience to our class!
