Today the first graders enjoyed an exciting visit from Noel and George, two entomologists from Rutgers. Noel and George taught the first graders about their research with stink bugs, and brought live specimens for the first graders to study. One of the most exciting organisms that they brought were Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, which they decided to give to us as a gift! We now have two Hissing Cockroaches as pets in our classroom!
