In writer's workshop, the first graders have been studying the genre of poetry. The children learned to look at the world through a poet's eyes, and to use different techniques to brainstorm ideas for poems. Each first grader wrote several poems on different topics. Then, the children selected two or three poems to revise, edit, and publish. Please stop by to check out the fabulous poems on our bulletin board!
