Dear Parents,
We are excited to inform you that First Grade will be taking a field trip to Museum Village in Monroe, NY, on Wednesday, May 13th. This trip is part of our social studies unit about one-room schoolhouses. This is sure to be an exciting experience that will give the children a first-hand look at a historic one-room-schoolhouse and related artifacts, as well as many other buildings and artifacts from this time period in history.
We will be leaving school at approximately 9:15 and returning at around 3:00. All students, including those students who normally eat school lunch, will need to bring a bag lunch on the trip. Please pack your child's lunch in a ziploc bag and clearly label the bag with your child's name.
The trip to Museum Village will be chaperoned by the First Grade teachers. Our trip will take place rain or shine since all of the exhibits are indoors. However, there will be some outdoor walking between exhibits, so please have your child dress appropriately for the weather.
