This week we have been learning about different ways to represent data, including picture graphs, tally charts, and bar graphs. Earlier this week, the first graders created a class picture graph of students' favorite "specials" (i.e. music, computers, gym, etc.) and also used a tally chart to inventory our class nonfiction library. Today, the students each received a cup of fruit loops, and created individual bar graphs to represent how many pieces of each color of cereal they had in their cups. Lots of learning, fun, and yum in first grade today!
